Financial Aid Checks

If your student account,  under the Campus Connect tab, shows that you have a refund check, the checks are available on the date of the check. Usually this is on Friday.  You may pick up your check at the business office on the main campus.   If you would like for me to pick it up for you, there is a form in the office for you to sign. Or, you can e-mail me with your name and student id #.   Please do not sign the form, or e-mail me  unless  you have a refund posted on your account.   If you ask me to pick it up, please do not go pick it up..  You can pick your check up in my office.

Check Your Mid-Term Grades This Weekend!

Midterm grades reflect your academic progress at about eight weeks into the semester.  Although midterm grades are not part of your permanent record and will not be reflected in your semester grade point average (GPA), they are important indicators of how you are doing academically.  Ask yourself, does your perception of how you are doing in your courses match your instructors indicators?

Midterm grades are meant to encourage you to get in touch with your instructors and to request academic assistance if it is needed.  Take note of your individual grades, as well as your overall GPA.

If your mid-term grades are good – keep up the good work!

If not,  it is not too late to improve!

Where is my class? Answers to this question and more…read on….

This first week of class – Math and Chemistry will be meeting in Room #204 in our building.  Please excuse the crowded conditions.  Try to remember that you may have been the one that I “squeezed” in the class when it was closed.

The classes listed below will normally meet in the Auditorium of the Professional Office Building of Arkansas Methodist Medical Center – adjacent to our building.  There will often be a class meeting in that room before your class starts.  Please be considerate and do not enter the classroom until they dismiss.  There is a comfortable atrium that you can use while waiting for your room to become available.  When your class dismisses please push up your chairs and take any trash with you.  The hospital allows us to use their facility as a courtesy.

There will be times that your class will meet in our building.  I will post these times on the blog and our security person will be able to direct you to the appropriate classroom.

Please note the Computer Use Policy on the ANC website.  If everyone in the room tries to print at the same time, the printer will not work.  Please try to take turns…

Tidbits:

Student parking is behind the building.

The Paragould Campus is a smoke free campus and facility.

Each classroom has restroom facilities.

Room #102 is the student break room, containing vending machines and a restroom.   Class        is usually in session in Room #103 (the adjacent classroom), please keep this in mind.

As soon as it slows down around here, I will post pictures of our security staff – and of me and Regina – so that you will recognize us.

I am excited that there are so many of you enrolled.  Please let me know of any problems or concerns that you have while attending Arkansas Northeastern College/Paragould Campus.

My e-mail is cburton@smail.anc.edu.
